My best friend lost EVERYTHING - Horrible HOUSE FIRE - SEEKING DONATIONS

Hello everyone.

First, this is not a happy post. It is a request for help from those that like to do something for others that are less fortunate.

Earlier this week, I found out that my best friend lost EVERYTHING, including their vehicle, in a house fire last week. This is a family of 6, that was immediately made to be homeless :( My friend, John, has been nothing but an amazing person to me. He's always been there for me, and now it's my turn to be there for him when he needs me most.

I have attached a few pictures of the fire (I have more if anyone is interested).

I am collecting cash and gift cards to give to him and his family to get them through this. Yes, they were insured (PHEW), but it will take time to rebuild. They are currently staying with friends. Below is a list of local stores with gift card programs (and URLs) that would be really helpful:
