World's Shortest Fairytale

I love this, I have to share! I borrowed it from an amazing lady's blog, Mupdit.

World's Shortest Fairytale

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl, 'Will you marry me?' The girl said 'NO!'
And the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, lunching,
drank martinis. Always had a clean house, never had to cook, had sex with whomever she pleased, did whatever the hellshe wanted, never argued, didn't get fat,
traveled more, had manyboyfriends, saved more money, and had all the hot water to herself. She watched chick flicks, never wore lacy lingerie that went up her ass, had high self esteem, ever cried or yelled, felt and lookedfabulous in sweat pants, and farted whenever she wanted.

The End

Excision #2 Complete.

Hey all.

Gosh, what a week. Monday 3/10 I went back to have my melanoma removed. I had the assistance of valium. VALIUM RULES. Perhaps it was not as traumatic because I knew what was coming, or maybe it was the medication. Regardless, I sailed through it like a champ! I did NOT come close to passing out, but I did shed a tear when he started poking me with the needles to numb me (I don't think I'll ever get over that part of it). It didnt seem as bad this time either because after he shot me up, I didnt lay there and wait forever before he came back and performed the procedure. He numbed me up and went right to work (no time to lay there and think about what's coming).

I have more stitches this time (8), and the cut is a good 2 inches wide. EDIT: I was able to add pictures! This incision is a week old - it was really icky the day or two afterwards..still not pretty though :( When you remove a melanoma you must go wider and deeper. I see why this can be so disfiguring. Mine was stage 0, and it was the size of a pencil eraser. Best case scenario really.

The day after the removal was HELL though. I can't believe how terrible I felt. I hurt so bad, and I cant exactly pop a vicadin at work. I had a terrible headache too. I dont know how I made it through 8 hours. I havent been able to wear a bra for a week now (the incision is right on the bra line on my side) - that feels really weird when you have boobs the size of mine. I've been wearing huge sweatshirts to work!!! Hopefully I can make a bra work by tomorrow - I'm tired of feeling like a walking trash bag.

I took a picture of my boo boo, but when I pulled it off the camera it was terrible. So I'm going to try again under better lighting.

Also, here is a survey to test your sun smarts, and make recommendations for you as to how you can protect your skin. Take it!!!

I am also considering running an auction/contest to design a tattoo related to skin cancer and sun safety. If I do so, it will be under my glittergirljo ID at Ebanned.net.

If you're interested in making a donation to my tattoo fund, drop me a line and I will give you various payment options.

Hope everyone is having a great, snow free weekend!

SNOW PICTURES - 17 INCHES Official!

Yep, official snowfall total for my town is 17" in a 24 hour period. Record breaking to say the least!

Here are some pics I took yesterday, which was actually before it all ended.

I was all set to go out and shovel again today - and one of my awesome neighbors snowblowed the driveway before I could get to it. Nice to have at least a few non-annoying, sweet people on the block!

Enjoy (cause I sure didnt..LOL)

Well since the google server isnt cooperating (I've had more trouble with this blog than you can imagine lately!), I've uploaded the photos to a directory.

You can see ALL OF THEM at the URL below:

BLIZZARD...AAAH!

Hey hotties!

Yeah, you read the title right...BLIZZARD conditions right now. AAAH! Last blizzard in this area was 1978...30 years ago !! Here's a neat link about the '78 blizzard, complete with a video :)

http://www.ohiohistory.org/etcetera/exhibits/swio/pages/content/1978_blizzard.htm

I left work early yesterday, and thank god I did..it was still a terrible 30 mile drive home, but I made it safely - slipping and sliding in my rear while drive Mustang (the only time I 2nd guess that purchase is on days like yesterday!).

My mom was let out of work early, and she had to turn around and come back to town (i.e. my house) because her county road was impassable..hadn't even seen a plow after a good 4-5 inches of initial snowfall.

There was a break of a few hours before the 2nd round hit. I shoveled the driveway...got up this morning to find that you can't tell I did ANYTHING! Completely covered! So that means there's at least already 10 inches on the ground..and it's still snowing to beat hell.

So, here I am...stuck. Blizzard warning is until this afternoon. I'm gonna head out and shovel again anyway, so it wont be so terrible when I do it again later today! Just popped some cinnamon rolls in the oven..got my coffee..have internet access..cable TV...all is as good as can be!! Pictures will follow once all this is said and done :)

*********************

Monday is round 2 of cancer treatment. My pesky chest melanoma is being removed. I had the doc call in valium for me, because the 1st time was traumatizing to me and I need something to get through it. One of my girls from work is taking me (they are the BEST!) - that will make me feel better on top of the drugs, LOL.

The next month will be pretty crappy - in two weeks the stitches from Monday will come out AND in the same visit, I get another cancerous spot removed. So I'll be in full football like stitches for another month and on restricted movement because of the placement of those "spots".

All in all, it could be worse - for some reason though, I can't convince my subconsious of that completely - I haven't been able to sleep well at all :( DARN ME!

********************
To add to the crazy, my sis will be having her BEAN late this month, early April - so there will be a new baby in the family! At least I'm really excited about that! Maybe it will be a well needed distraction :) Baby Ray, we can't wait to see you!

Well, that's all for now..hope everyone is warm, and safe, and SNOW FREE!
