I have the worst luck!!!! CAR ACCIDENT
OK, I would like to start over 2008 please. Pretty please!
I was shopping for some staples today and I get a call from my mom's cell. Only it wasnt my mom on the other end, it was a paramedic. Mom was in an accident, and totalled her car. W AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! She was in the squad, and would be at the hospital in about 10 minutes. I drop everything and head to the ER. I beat her there.
Waiting is nervewracking. After about 30 minutes, they take me back. She's stable, but strapped to a board, her neck in a brace. No cuts or external bleeding, but her neck and spine were hurting. I was crying of course...I'm very close to my mom. She started crying, she was so shaken. I think my mom has cried only once or twice in her life.
I call my sister about 30 miles away, she gets in the car to come down. She arrives, and sent her hubby to be with my dad, who is basically a shut-in. He was hysterical, and couldn't even breathe. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.
Mom finally calmed down, and they take Xrays and do a CT scan of her spine. It all came back OK. She couldnt wait to get off that darned board. I don't blame her! After about 3 hours of being there, they released her because everything was coming back fine, and there was no blood in her urine (a sign of internal b leeding).
What a scare.
So what happened? Some dumb cunt ran a stop sign and nearly T-boned my mom. I wanna strangle the bitch. She lives around there, so I know she was aware of the stop sign. She was probably talking on a fucking cell phone. When she hit mom, mom went flying off into the cornfield. The airbags deployed. Mom has a guardian angel, that's for sure..because as soon as it happened someone stopped - and that someone happened to be a former paramedic. She kept my mom still and calm til the squad got there. Mom asked how her car was, and everybody told her it was totalled. The front driver side wheel was back behind the driver side door. We can't wait to see the the car.
Well, I am exhausted. I need to go to bed. I'm so happy my mom is OK. Sniff.

OMG, I`m just glad your mom is ok now! What a start for the new year for you indeed. but look it it this way, it can only get better ;)
